Bushfire Recovery

We have been able to serve over 350 families between our food & clothing outlets in the first 5 months since the bushfires. From 1st July, we have now consolidated our donated goods back to the DV Support Lounge (309 Diamond Creek Rd, Plenty) and to date have served over 120 families.

Our Garage Sale held back in May helped raise $12,000 which added to the donated BaptCare funds has enabled us to give away over $200,000 to purchase furniture and white goods for the 220 survivor requests received through the Nillumbik council.

Through the efforts of a core team of volunteers and the Pay It Forward monthly program we have now fitted out the temporary accomodation villages at - Flowerdale, Marysville & Kinglake.

The Mobile Relief Centre bus has delivered goods to - Hurstbridge, Arthurs Creek, St.Andrews, Kinglake & Flowerdale relief centres in the first 5 months. We have also taken the bus to the following community gatherings to distribute material aid - Murrindindi, Yea & Kinglake
